Freda and her husband treasure their five children, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, 3 Pomeranian children, and 6 Khaki Campbell ducks. In her free time, Freda enjoys gardening, canning, fishing, and all kinds of arts and crafts. Freda feels so blessed to be working with Dr. Molly and all the furry patients and their owners.




Emily has been working with animals since she was 15. In 2011, she received an AAS in Surgical Technology. In her spare time, Emily and her husband enjoy the lakes and rivers, hiking, and camping. Her labrador, Cooper, enjoys the same things and also snuggling.





Nixie is our clinic cat who was adopted from Taney County Animal Control. She enjoys snuggling in warm towels, playing in boxes, and hiding in open cabinets. You may see her in her cat tree, or greeting clients at the front desk.





Dr. Vanessa Domann: 

Dr. Domann (formerly Dr. Firl) is an excellent veterinarian with 8 years of experience and always provides personal, compassionate care you expect from Nixa Animal Hospital. Dr. Ramsey and Dr. Domann graduated from veterinary school together in 2006 and have worked together previously in emergency and private practices in Springfield. Dr. Domann spends her free time with her husband, 2 daughters, and her four-legged family members. 







Jaymee has been working in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant since 2009. She shares her home with a Great Dane, three Miniature Schnauzers and a Terrier Mix. Jaymee also has four Quarter horses and two Miniature Horses. In her spare time she enjoys showing her horses and spending time with her four nephews. She joined our team in August of 2015.



Tawnya has a BS in Animal Science and has been a veterinary assistant for 15 years. She and her husband share their home with two Chihuahuas, two Golden Retrievers, one Great Swiss Mountain Dog, and one cat. In her spare time she enjoys working in her yard, reading, crossword puzzles, and throwing tennis balls for her Goldens.



Melanie is new to the animal science field, previously working with adults with developmental disabilities. When not at work, Melanie and her fiance enjoy running, being active outdoors, watching StL Cardinals baseball, and spending time with their 2 dogs and cat: Desi, a red heeler mix; Hotch, a Cairn Terrior; and Trygve, a grumpy cat.
