Ultrasound

Nixa Animal Hospital is excited to offer ultrasound for diagnostic imaging. Our doctors have compelted extensive training to perform and interpret ultrasounds.

Much like in humans, ultrasound is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that allows our doctors to visualize internal structures. Ultrasound uses sound waves rather than radiation to produce real time images of organs, tissues, and blood vessels. It is non-painful and almost all animals tolerate it extremely well.

Nixa Animal Hospital works with Oncura to provide teleradiology consults. Our doctors are able to perform the ultrasound in the clinic, then send images to specialists for interpretation. This collaboration allows for greater accuracy in diagnosis.
